Scott O’Connor is a graduate of Idaho State University, where he received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 2001 and his Master of Science in Nuclear Science and Engineering in 2002 through a fellowship from the National Academy for Nuclear Training. While at Idaho State, Scott served as president of the collegiate chapter of the American Nuclear Society.

Scott currently works for Energy Northwest at Columbia Generating Station in Richland, WA as a Station Nuclear Engineer II in the Reactor Engineering department. His responsibilities include core management; reactivity maneuver planning, implementation, and control; as well as oversight of new fuel receipt.

Scott resides in Richland, WA with his wife and two (soon to be three) children. He enjoys reading, woodworking, and spending time with family.
