Gary Sanford is a graduate of The University of Florida. While there, he received his degree in Nuclear Engineering, with a second major in Mathematics, and became "second person qualified" on the University of Florida Training Reactor.
Gary's involvement includes the American Nuclear Society, the Washington Nuclear Engineering Student Delegation, and the Advanced Test Reactor National Scientific User Facility Program.
After school, he received his Senior Reactor Operator certification. He is currently employed at the Crystal River Nuclear Plant where he teaches Senior Reactor Operations to managers and licensed operator candidates.
Gary resides in the town he grew up in - Crystal River, FL - enjoying Frisbee and yes, nuclear power.
