The New Energy Plan

For those that are interested here’s the new Energy Plan from the Whitehouse website.  I found the lack of even mentioning Nuclear Power interesting, though not too surprising.  We’ve all covered how many of these issues are addressed by Nuclear.

The Buzz about Buzzwords

“Carbon Neutrality” is the new buzzword being tossed around Main Street, USA.  The theory behind carbon neutrality is that for all of the carbon emissions you are responsible for generating, you will offset these by investing in renewable energy or the environment in a scale large enough to neutralize your carbon production…good theory…skewed results.

Clean energy is expensive.  Nuclear power is a reliable source of energy, but has large capital costs.  Wind and solar energy still need much research, requiring millions if not billions of dollars, to be reliable on a large scale.
